8:00pm Vaudeville/Burlesque Show (delayed)
May 29, 2020 @ 12:00 am
We’re partnering with Hunter House to put on a Veudeville Show Thursday May 28 2020. Start 8pm. The hunter house is doing all the marketing and the food, women’s club members will do the alcohol, we will ask everyone to donates drinks. Hunter house will bring 3 full time volontiers to work it, we will need volunteers for set up and clean up as well as a bartender. We will ask Max to be parking attendants. We will need to set up for 100 people, 9 chairs at each table ,10 tables. All proceeds will go to either human trafficking or a woman’s organization. I think our budget for this may be fairly low if enough people donate alcohol. That would be our biggest expense. Will also need abc license.
Then we would love to have a 1920s themed New Year’s Eve party. We are also collaborating with hunter house. Hunter house has hired a jazz band, they are covering the cost of the band which is $1600. Band is from 915pm-1215am. Rebecca said she will sing before the band starts. Everyone will come dressed for the occasion per theme. Maybe a 100-125 people to set up for.
We would like to maybe have a black Jack table with no actual gambling, and maybe having the Tidewater swing group come. Hunter house said they came for them for free in exchange of attending free. We can charge tickets $75 per person. Maybe do an early bird special. Our main expense is alcohol and maybe a few horderves. ABC licensee. Awesome costumes on Amazon btw.

Hi everyone,
Happy Sunday – hope you’ve had wonderful weekends! Thank you again for setting up our meeting last week; it was lovely getting to catch up with you all.
I wanted to let you know I confirmed Thursday, May 28 at 8 PM will work for all of the core performers for the Vaudeville/Burlesque performance. They have it marked on their calendars!
Please let me know if there’s anything else you need from me and/or the Hunter House to move forward. We’re heading into our Pledge Drive at WHRO this week, so my schedule will be very hectic for the next several days. I would love to reconnect next week and discuss further though.
Thanks again!!
